Off the Wall 2026, a juried sculpture exhibition at the Maryland Hall Earl Gallery, 801 Chase Street, Annapolis, MD 2140, will include “Ancestors” my ceramic sculpture featuring 3 primitive looking faces. The exhibition is sponsored by Maryland Federation of Art and will take place from July 8-August 15, 2026. There will be a reception on August 15, 2026 from 5:30 – 7 PM.
I had great fun creating 2 pieces for the juried show “Medium Mutiny” at Art Center Sarasota. One of them called “Reaching for Bright Ideas” is a plaster wall sculpture of Michael’s hand holding a light bulb painted gold. The second piece started with fuzzy stuff that fell out of a palm tree. I combined that with a watercolor face of a pouting woman and glued glasses frames to her face. The piece is called “Bad Hair Day”. The show will be on view May 21-August 1, 2026.
My watercolor, “Artist at Work” is in the 2026 online international exhibition of Women in Watercolor.
