Paintings and Portraits
Paintings in this series are made with transparent watercolor. Many of them are informal portraits. Betty’s study of faces has resulted in a series of paintings which can be referred to as portraits. In these works she studies identity focusing on not only individual likeness, but also mood and feeling. Caught in informal moments her subjects are thoughtful, intense and sometimes joyful. They interact, sharing unscripted moments with each other.
